We are super grateful for the incredible 'Behind the Shield' volunteer community that continues to enrich The Salvation Army Ontario Distribution Centre (ODC) with the joy of giving. Thank you to the 3,600 volunteers who, in 2025, dedicated their time and compassion to positively impact the lives of so many. What an incredible year of giving!
Let’s continue this volunteer momentum together… bringing joy, generosity, and purpose in 2026 to support and strengthen our Ontario community.
National Volunteer Week 2026 – Come Join Us at ODC!
Bring your families, colleagues, friends, and students (ages 10 and up) and spend some time with us during the annual National Volunteer Week - April 20th - 24th
Each year we want to take time to acknowledge the wonderful contribution of our Volunteer Heroes, such as yourself.
National Volunteer Week- April 20th -24th, is an opportunity for us to recognize and thank dedicated volunteers who lend their time and make a difference in the lives of others.
We tell each new volunteer with us, the importance of their impact to community through volunteering with us. As ‘Happiness Agents’ it is also an opportunity of impact to other volunteers, every time you share your experience with a friend, colleague or family member you are helping to Ignite the Spirit of Volunteerism. Thank You!
